Traditional Ruler Of Ele, King Okuru Excited Over Turn-out
The Amanyanabo of ancient Ele Kingdom, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru has lauded the people of the area for their massive turn-out during the Governorship and House of Assembly Elections held over the weekend.
King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru, Apina VII who made the commendation while speaking with newsmen after casting his vote at ward 12, Oruchin unit at Ele in Ogul/ Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State opined that despite the difficult terrain as a satellite community, the response of the voters was highly impressive.
According to the Ele Monarch, the community which is one of the ancient 9 clans of Okrika ethnic nationality has become a force to reckon with, in Ogu/Bolo Politics and Rivers State by extension. He promised they will remain resolute and committed towards activities that would further project the Kingdom to an enviable height.
The traditional ruler noted that apart from the massive turn-out, the election was peaceful, free and fair, stressing that the people will continue to maintain their peaceful disposition in order to attract more developmental projects and dividends of democracy.
The Ele King commended the Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Council, Barr. Vincent Nemieboka for his efforts for hitch-free polls as well as the INEC officials, security personnel and the good people of the community for their various roles in ensuring successful and peaceful elections. His Royal Highness enjoined them to keep up the tempo.
He specially congratulated the Governor- elect, Sir Siminalayi Joseph Fubara, the House of Representatives-elect for Okrika, Ogu/Bolo constituency, Allison Anderson and the Rivers State House of Assembly-elect representing Ogu/Bolo constituency, Hon Arnold David for their victories and expressed optimism that they will bring their wealth of experience to bear in bringing the dividends of democracy to the door-steps of their people. He also appealed to them to be magnanimous in victory, while praying God to protect and give them the courage and wisdom to carry on math their activities and campaign promises to the glory of God and mankind.
The ancient Ele Monarch, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru during the polls took time out to visit all the units in the area to ensure there were no issues.
