Accolades To RIVPA, Port Harcourt Press For  Performance Display During 2023 Elections

A former Commissioner at the Rivers State Civil Service Commission, and Publisher of The Gist Newspaper, Mrs. Sotonye Toby Fulton, has commended her colleagues for believing in the possibility of the victory of Siminalayi Fubara, before it became a reality.

She expressed gratitude to them for their steadfastness towards Governor Fubara during the electioneering period and urged them to maintain the tempo, as the government takes shape. She gave the charge during a luncheon organised to celebrate the victory of Fubara.

Mrs. Fulton who enumerated her efforts to ensure a united RIVPA, urged members to be patient and continue to support the administration of Sir Siminalayi Fubara as the governor of Rivers State.

In his remarks, the immediate past Director of Publicity of the NEW Rivers Vision, Chief Ogbonna Nwuke, eulogised Fulton for her role in galvanising support for Fubara through her colleagues and expressed gratitude to her show of appreciation.

In the same vein, the Chairman of RIVPA, Ms. Gloria Boma Harry, also commended Fulton for remembering those that stood and fought a good flight with her. The RIVPA Chairman, assured Fulton of RIVPA’s unalloyed support to her and the government of Governor Fubara. Harry further urged her not to relent on the reciprocal gesture, which she had already exhibited.

Mr. Bon Onyedi, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the governor of Rivers State on Media, and a member of the Gatekeepers Advocacy Group, Mr Bernard were present at the luncheon alongside some past Chairmen and leaders of RIVPA such as Pastor Jerry Needam, High Chief Monday Wehere, Mr. Charles Alikor, Sir Ngo Martins Yellowe, Warisenibo Joe Johnson, Solomon Parakon, Ifeanyi Osi, Chief Emmanuel Odungweru, Dr. Iheanyi Ezinwo, Blaise Elumezie, Senibo Benson Finebone, Florence Jose Pere
