Arewa Community Commends Gov Fubara Over Fruitful 100 Days In Office

…Pledges Their Unalloyed Support

Cashing in on the occasion of Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s 100 days since assumption of office as Rivers State Governor, the Arewa Community in Rivers State has met in Port Harcourt to rub minds on a number of issues in the State since after the 2023 general elections.

Now under the new leadership of Alhaji Jinjiri B. Mato who was unanimously elected the Chairman of the Arewa Community following the death of their former leader, the umbrella body of all the Northerners resident in Rivers State comprising both Muslims and Christians resolved to co-operate and oblige God Siminalayi Fubara their support as has been their tradition to the previous administrations in the state.

Presiding over the enlarged monthly meeting of the Arewa indigenes, Alhaji Jinjiri B. Mato said they count themselves lucky to have another democrat as Governor Fubara in Rivers State.

He lauded the efforts of Governor Fubara so far, in a bid to reposition the state for the benefit of Rivers people and those living and doing business in the state.

As their home from home, Alh. Mato charged his people to develop greater interest and join hands with the Gov Fubara administration by engaging in lawful and legitimate businesses, and most importantly, conducting themselves in a manner that does not only promote love but also seen to enhance peaceful co-existence between their people, the Rivers people and other residents irrespective of tribe, ethnicity, religion or belief.

According to Alh. Mato, critical projects like the unique Port Harcourt Ring Road Project and other rural road projects across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state, creation of a conducive environment in which the full development of creative powers of citizens could be actualized, empowerment of youths and enhancement of the healthcare delivery in the state are some of the achievements that make Gov Fubara’s 100 days in office memorable and commendable.

“While commending and appreciating Sir Siminalayi Fubara for a job well done so far, may I also use the opportunity to disabuse the minds of the public about the falsehood of certain agents of darkness about the Arewa Community resident in Rivers State.

Our people are peace-loving citizens and advocates of peaceful co-existence wherever we are. We sincerely commend and support His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara in his quest to give Rivers people and residents alike good governance and promote love among all residents and their host communities in the state.

We strongly reassure His Excellency of our unalloyed support”, the Chairman of Arewa Community, Alh Jinjiri B. Mato declared.
