President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the immediate withdrawal of the nomination of Engr. Imam Kashim Imam as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
The decision was communicated through a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale on Thursday.
The statement said President Tinubu’s withdrawal of Imam Kashim Imam’s nomination takes immediate effect.
While no specific reasons were mentioned in the statement, the sudden change has left many speculating about the circumstances behind the President’s decision.
Chief Ngelale emphasized in the statement that this directive exclusively pertains to the withdrawal of Imam Kashim Imam’s nomination for the position of FERMA Chairman.
All other appointments to the Board and Executive Management team of FERMA remain unaffected.
