Nigerian Activist Returns To Classroom After Politics

Nigerian human and environmental rights activist, Comrade Celestine AkpoBari, has resumed full studies after his recent retirement from partisan politics.

The veteran activist had, only few days back, made public his decision to hands-off party politics to pursue higher degree in Peace & Security Studies in a Nigerian University, as well as focus on his rights activism.

AkpoBari, by his return to the four walls of a higher institution, makes good his disclosure, in the statement of his severance from politics, that he was going to face his studies and devote time to fighting for people’s and environmental rights.

Though his sudden departure from active politics came as a shock to his last political party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, and close party associates, the activist declared that his decision, which took immediate effect, was “hard but necessary.”
