Provost FCE (T) Omoku Inspects Projects To Mark Five Year In Office

The Provost Federal College Education (Technical) Omoku, Rivers State Dr. Emmanuel Ikenyiri, has again expressed gratitude to the Federal Ministry of Education, the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), the National Universities Commission (NUC), the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) as well as the Federal Ministries of Finance, Budget and Planning for their continued support and contributions to the college.

The Provost who made the commendation while inspecting completed and on-going projects in the college to mark his Five (5) years in office noted that the success story of his regime would not have been possible without the interventions of the bodies he mentioned above.

He also expressed appreciation to the host Community members of the Governing Council, Management, Academic Board, Unions as well as all Staff and Students for their unalloyed co-cooperation and solicited for the betterment of the college.

Dr. Ikenyiri enumerated some of his major achievements which include peace and harmony in the college, uninterrupted academic and administrative activities, completion of plans to move all students from campus one to its completed hotels in Campus II, Staff development, increase in students enrollment, infrastructural development, movement of Schools of study to the permanent Site (Campus 2) commencement of fencing of the College Permanent Site of the college, successful affiliation of the College with the University of Uyo, (UNIUYO), regaining of accreditation of some Degree Programmes which were denied accreditation some years ago, full accreditation of new degree Programmes, successful accreditation of all Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) and Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) Programmes among others.
