Emulate Vurasi’s Leadership Style, Okrika Council Chairman Urges Younger Generation
The Chairman of Okrika Local Government Area, Hon. Akuro Tobin has charged the younger generation in Christ Army Church Nigeria (CACN) to adopt the exceptional leadership qualities exemplified by the retired Prelate of the church, His Eminence, the Most Rev. Abel Serebe Vurasi, DSSRS, JP, Ambassador of Peace.
Speaking as guest at the close of the four-day Special Synod of Christ Army Church Nigeria (CACN) at St. Stephen’s Pro Cathedral, CACN, Ogoloma in Okrika Local Government Area on Sunday, the Chairman emphasized that the path to progress lies in the values and principles championed by leaders like the retired Prelate Vurasi.
Highlighting the importance of servant leadership, empathy, and a relentless commitment to the betterment of the church, Hon. Tobin urged the youth to embrace these values and channel their energy into activities that uplift both themselves and their surroundings.
Also emphasizing the importance of a strong partnership between the community and institutions like the church, the Okrika Council boss said, “Our community’s strength lies in unity and collaboration. Just as Retired Prelate Vurasi’s leadership transcended boundaries, so should our commitment to supporting initiatives that uplift and empower”.
The youthful council Chairman who expressed joy for the colourful special synod stated that Vurasi’s legacy is a testament to the fact that true leadership is not just about holding a position, but about making a tangible difference in the lives of people.
“Please young men and young ladies, let us learn from our father and whatever we do, let us do it very well like he did. There is this old saying that the youths are the leaders of tomorrow. This saying will never die.
“The selfless service and dedication which we know of the retired Prelate, have left an indelible mark on the CACN, and it is up to our younger generation to carry forward this torch of positive change”, he said.
As a remarkable demonstration of support for the worthy initiative he canvassed, Hon. Akuro Tobin not only encouraged the younger generation to emulate the leadership style of Retired Prelate Vurasi but also made a significant monetary donation to bolster the efforts of the CACN.
