National Network Has Affected Society Positively- Obuah

For the Father of the Day at the 15th Anniversary celebration of the National Network newspaper, Brother Felix Obuah, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party and the Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA, the National Network newspaper has carved a positive niche for itself by impacting the society positively beyond the shores of Rivers State.
Obuah whose presence added shine to the celebration was welcome to a rousing reception at the Atlantic Hall of the Hotel Presidential, venue of the celebration. He expressed delight that what started as a small establishment had grown big and the newspaper rich content could be accessed anywhere in the country and beyond.
After acknowledging cheers from dignitaries and other members of the audience, Obuah described the publication as proudly Rivers product to the rest of the world. He hailed the entire editorial board, management and staff of the publication for braving the odds in the past 15 years of service to humanity. He stated that he was privileged to witness the birth of same big publications around the country but could not survive to the present moment.
He noted that it had been 15 years of keeping the flag flying for the publication and thanked God and governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for the opportunities extended to him and others around him. He said that without this the publication could not have gone far in realizing the vision of the publisher. According to him, the governor was part of the success story of the celebration and would have loved to grace the occasion but for the flag off ceremony of three flyovers in Port Harcourt which coincided with the event.
He thanked all who attended the occasion and pledged further support for the publication to achieve its dream of becoming a national newspaper that would do the state proud.
Speaking earlier, chairman of the occasion and former Commissioner for Information, Rivers State, Barr. Emma Okah praised National Network for its doggedness since 2004 when it came on board.
He described the publication as the conscience of Rivers State.
