Developmental Projects: Royal Father Makes Case For Gov Wike
The paramount ruler of Mgbundukwu Community in Port-Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State, His Royal Highness Eze Owabie Tobin, says it is not true governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike, concentrates developments in Port-Harcourt, the state capital, a claim made by some section of people in the state.
Eze Tobin who stated this in an interview in Port-Harcourt on Wednesday said Governor Wike has shown himself governor for all people of Rivers State and has spread developments to all parts of the state.
He said those making the claim that the governor was concentrating developments in the state capital – predominantly owned by Ikwerres, the governor’s ethnic nationality – don’t see what the governor is doing in other parts of the state.
Eze Tobin said: “Governor Nyesom Wike has Rivers people in mind and has developed Rivers State. People say it is only Port-Harcourt Governor Nyesom Wike is developing, and building flyovers and other projects, but I say they don’t see what Governor Wike is doing in other parts of the state because if they see they will talk differently. People of Opobo, Andoni and Nkoro can now go home by land and it was Governor Wike who made that possible.”
He said people in Port-Harcourt, the state capital and outside Port-Harcourt all enjoy projects by the state governor.
Meanwhile, Eze Tobin who is Eze Onumini 1 of Mgbundukwu Community in Mile 1 and 2, Diobu, has commended Ogbakor Ikwerre Cultural Organization Worldwide for organizing civic reception recently in honour of Governor Nyesom Wike saying that the honour given the governor was in order.
He described Governor Wike as an illustrious son of Ikwerre ethnic nationality saying he has done so well for the people of Rivers State.
Eze Tobin said:“They celebrated him because he has done well for the people of Rivers State. Ogbakor Ikwerre Cultural Organization Worldwide knows Governor Nyesom Wike has done well for the people of the state and has shown that he has the people of the state in mind.”
In another development, the traditional ruler appealed to Governor Nyesom Wike to recognise his chieftaincy stool saying with the recognition he’ll do so much more to assist Wike administration.
