As Nigerians prepare to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee Independence Anniversary, the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr Tammy Danagogo, has stated that, activities marking the celebration in the State will commence from Friday, 25th September 2020, with a Juma’at Service at the Mile One Diobu Central Mosque by 1pm.
The Secretary to the State Government said, the celebration which will be strictly guided by COVID-19 regulations will also have an interdenominational Church Service on Sunday, 27 October, 2020 and a grand finale Independence Day Parade at the Sharks Stadium on Thursday, October 1, 2020.
The notice which enjoined Rivers residents to celebrate the country also indicated that attendance will be strictly by invitation.
