The President of Mgbuitanwo Youth Congress, in Emohua, Emohua local Government area of Rivers State Jeremiah Badubuochi and his brothers have been accused of chopping off the left hand of one Good Child Elekwa last week Friday in the community.
Mr. Justice Elekwa who said he is a cousin to the victim and also the Financial Secretary of the Youth organisation in an interview with our correspondent, explained that he was inside his house that fateful day when he heard an unusual noise and when he came out he saw people running helter skelter.
Mr. Elekwa disclosed that the Youth President and his siblings allegedly went to his(justice) Uncle’s house with machetes to attack his Uncle when the victim who was coming back from the stream approached the Youth leader to enquire what the problem was.
Mr Elekwa alleged that one of the siblings of the Youth President collected the machete the Youth leader was holding and allegedly used it to chop off the left hand of Good Child Elekwa for no just reason.
The Financial Secretary revealed that the victim was immediately rushed to University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) where he is currently receiving treatment while the incident was reported at Rumuji Police Division in Emohua LGA.
The Youth President of Mgbuitanwo, Jeremiah Badubuochi in a telephone interview with our reporter has denied the allegation describing it as false.
The spokesperson of Rivers State Police command, SP Nnamdi Omoni was yet to respond to text messages sent to his mobile phone by our reporter as at press time.
