I’ll Make Laws To Impact ONELGA, Says ADC Assembly Candidate

The House of Assembly candidate of the African Democratic Congress, (ADC) for ONELGA Constituency 1in the forthcoming general elections, Hon. Comrade Jeff Iyieke (Amb) has said that his priority if elected, would be to make laws that would have meaningful impact on the wellbeing of his people.

Speaking during a campaign rally held at Osiakpu community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area on Friday, Iyieke regretted what he called degradation and neglect of his constituency by those who represented them in the past.

He said ONELGA Constituency 1 had been deceived by representatives who collected the ticket only to frolic at the House, adding that his mission is to go and redress the wrongs.

“Our party (ADC)’s ideology is fashioned to effect real change in the order of things.  But get me right, it’s not the kind of ‘APC Change’.

“Whatever that has been going wrong will be put to order, and that’s why I am running – to put things right”, he said.

The Assembly hopeful said he would not promise to ‘build heaven on earth’ for this constituents, but assured to make judicious use of the ticket given him by making laws that would uphold the dignity of his people.

“A lawmaker is not a governor and so if elected, I would not take the place of the Governor.  There are two things I want from my people.  They should give me the name and profile.  I would use the profile to attract investors to ONELGA and create job for our youths.

“I’m running for the House because of the youths.  Our past leaders use and dump them”, he averred, adding that an unfortunate incidence which occurred two years ago at his Osiakpu community happened because of idleness on the youths.
