….Says Wike’s Adoption By 54 Guber Candidates Will Engender Good Governance, Continuity
A political group known as Coalition of Political Parties (CPP) for Governor Wike/Obuah Leadership Styles has directed members of 62 political parties under its umbrella to mobilize and work for the election of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 Presidential election.
Briefing journalists in Port Harcourt last week, the State Chairman of CPP, Comrade Kukang Joseph also commended the coalition of 54 Governorship Candidates of other political parties for adopting Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as its sole candidate, stressing that the adoption was for effective governance, continuity and all inclusive government.
CPP however, admonished INEC to demonstrate neutrality and high sense of discipline in the conduct of the elections.
It equally called on the NYSC authorities, Corp members as well as security agencies to display professionalism and avoid any actions that might lead to violence during and after the elections.
The political group which had in the past sensitized citizens on their civic duties, expressed shock at the tragedy that occurred at the Amiesimaka Stadium during the APC presidential campaign rally and condoled families of those who lost their loved ones. It however, condemned what it called poor organization and inefficient crowd control management that characterized the rally.
