Wild Jubilation Over Wike’s Victory Shows Acceptance – Iganibo

One of the aspirants to the Degema State Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Destiny Iganibo, has described the wild jubilation that erupted throughout the state shortly after the declaration of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as the winner of the 2019 gubernatorial election marking his second tenure in office as a sign of acceptability and expression of trust and confidence by Rivers people and residents.

Hon. Iganibo stated this in a chat with newsmen in Port Harcourt over the weekend.

He made it clear that the tension ridden election which was characterized by violence and open manipulations by the military was nothing but a national embarrassment, adding that the good news was that inspite of the evil machinations, God’s intervention manifested to give Gov. Wike and in-deed PDP candidates victory.

Hon. Iganibo who hails from Tombia equally used the opportunity to condemn in its entirety the militarization of the 2019 general elections which he noted resulted in loss of lives and destruction of properties in the state had expressed the wish that the nightmare never repeated itself again.

He used the opportunity to appreciate the efforts of Rivers people, PDP supporters and party faithful in Degema constituency for their steadfastness and commitment to the electoral victory.

He confessed being excited over the electoral victory for the governor to consolidate on his great achievements in the state these past four years.

The astute politician appealed to the governor to give priority attention this time around to Human Capital Development as well as extension of rotating interest-free loans to the grassroot for petty traders and fishermen.

Hon. Iganibo also used the opportunity to on behalf of his supporters congratulated Governor Wike and all the PDP candidates for the victory and in-deed Rivers people for standing tall and firm against the enemies of the state during the election.

According to him, “despite the organized conspiracy to stop the PDP candidates through the federal might, God disgraced the enemies and gave us victory. To God be the glory”.

Hon. Iganibo further used the opportunity to appreciate Governor Wike’s gestures of extending the olive branch to his political opponents, inviting them for an all inclusive government, describing it as an exemplary leadership quality in practice.

He assured the governor of the unalloyed loyalty and support of his people of Degema Constituency at all times.
