Obuah Donates To Mosque Rehabilitation As Muslim Community Visits On Ramadan

The immediate past Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Bro. Felix Amechi Obuah has felicitated with the Muslim community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) on the occasion of Ramadan which was celebrated by last Friday.

Bro. Obuah who received a delegation of the Muslims at his palatial mansion in Omoku, headquarters of ONELGA on Friday described the visit as an honour, and lauded them for the cordial relationship between Muslims and Christians on one hand and with the LGA on the other hand.

Bro. Obuah who is the ‘Garkuwan Hausawan’ of Ogbaland, said his joy knew no bounds following the visit and commended the leadership of the Muslims for the initiative.

“We have been living together for decades without no problems and I pray that God will continue to give us that spirit of oneness”, Obuah said while advising that Muslims should use the period of Ramadan to preach love and also pray for the nation of Nigeria.

While promising to visit some dilapidated mosque worship centers in ONELGA, Bro. Obuah donated the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira each to the Four mosques in the LGA.

Earlier in their address on behalf of the President General of the Muslim Community, Sheik, Alhaji Abduyl Raheem Naibi thanked Bro. Obuah for according them the opportunity to visit, describing Obuah as a leader, father and friend.

“I can vividly remember when you were the Local Government Chairman of ONELGA, you never abandoned us, Sir.  You hosted us severally during our festive season where we eat and dine with you, Sir. Your hands of love did not end by hosting the Muslim community but you also ensured that some of the Muslims in ONELGA then were given Hajj slots to travel to Mecca.

“We can’t forget this which shows how detribalized and religiously tolerant you are, Sir. We are only here to pray for you and your family as the Muslims mark this special period and also to make an appeal for your humanly support for the rehabilitations of our four (4) mosque worship centers in the LGA”.
