Hon. Akuro Tobin Marks 100 Days In Office Amid Praises

It’s a new dawn in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State, as thousands of people recently, celebrated the numerous achievements of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Akuro Tobin marking his 100 days in office.

Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, Dean of Student Affairs in Rivers State University, commended the council chairman for achieving so much within so short a time in office.

According to him, achieving so much in 100 days in office indicates that the chairman has a lot for the people of Okrika saying as a scholar they make analysis based on data and data deals with facts and figures, saying “you can see the number of projects he is commissioning in his 100 days in office, there is no doubt that Hon. Tobin has done very well.

The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Hon. Samuel Nwanosike, who commissioned the reconstructed primary health care building said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is blessed with people who are determined to work and not give excuses.

He said the PDP government has always kept to their promises at all the tiers of government in the country saying he is an example of those who give value to the people who bestowed confidence in them.

He thanked his colleague for inviting him and urged the people of Okrika to join hands with the chairman to develop the area.

The former Minister of Transportation, Chief Abiye Sekibo, sued for peace among the people of Okrika, saying without peace there would be no development, hence all hands must be on deck especially in the chieftaincy institution.

On the projects commissioned, he commended Hon. Tobin noting that the chairman has proved himself as a credible leader, who at all times will put the people’s interest first.

Hon. Tobin thanked God Almighty who inspired him to maintain his grounds and all amount of courage from Governor Nyesom Wike, whom he described as his mentor that has delivered projects to the betterment of Rivers people.

“For me to have performed proactively, I key into the examples of the governor and today Okrika local government secretariat is being transformed and that is the only way I can comfortably stay proactively  in collaboration with the legislators and the staffs of the council to achieve our aims and goals.”

He promised that the phase II of his projects will be in other communities in the local government and that he has discussed with the councillors to ensure they come up with projects to be done and begged for the support of all and sundry to take Okrika to greater height.
