NWC Failed To Settle Rivers APC Crisis – Tobin

Paramount ruler of Mgbundukwu Community in Port-Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State, His Royal Highness Eze Owabie Tobin, has said that the National Working Committee (NWC) of All Progressives’ Congress failed to settle the crisis in All Progressives’ Congress in Rivers State before the conduct of the 2019 general elections.

Eze Tobin who is Eze Onumini I of Mgbundukwu Community said in an interview on Wednesday that the NWC of All Progressives’ Congress did not do anything to settle the crisis in the party in Rivers State just before the 2019 polls.

He expressed fears that the All Progressives’ Congress in Rivers State might not contest 2023 polls unless the crisis in the party was resolved and appealed to National Working Committee of  the All Progressives’ Congress to settle the crisis in the party in Rivers State.

He also appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to promote democracy saying that as a leader he should promote democracy in the country.   

Eze Tobin said only right people should govern Rivers State and Nigeria, based on outcomes of elections to be held in the country.

He said his support was for all political parties in Rivers State and Nigeria at large.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Eze Tobin has thanked Rivers State governor, Chief Nyesom Wike,  for construction work on three flyovers which has started and asked the people of the state to pray for him as he develops Rivers State.

Governor Wike had said at his inauguration ceremony for second term that he would build three flyovers at Garrison, Rumuokoro and Artillery in Port-Harcourt City and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas of the state.

In keeping with that promise, Governor Wike had recently flagged off the construction of the three flyovers at Rumuokoro, Garrison and Artillery and said at the flag off ceremony in Garrison that he had paid over 80 per cent of the money for the project and appealed to Julius Berger, the company handling the project, to finish on time.

He also appealed to youths of the area to co-operate with Julius Berger in execution of the project.
