A notable political stalwart in Rivers State Elemchukwu Ogbowu has frowned at the inclusion of his name among a faction of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State which purportedly suspended the Chairman of the APC Caretaker Committee Rt. Hon Igochukwu Aguma.
Elemchukwu Ogbowu at a Press Conference in Port Harcourt said he is not a member of the APC and wondered why he was included by the Amaechi-led faction of the APC as a statutory member of a party he does not belong to.
He said since resigning from the PDP in 2019 he has not joined any political party.
Elemchukwu Ogbowu while disassociating himself from the APC in Rivers State warned against dragging his name into the crisis rocking the party in the state.
Elemchukwu Ogbowu also condemned threats by some members of the All Progressive Congress to cause crisis in Rivers State if a former Governor of the state and Minister of Transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is suspended from the APC.
