The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extolled the patriotism and outstanding leadership qualities exhibited by the outgoing Chairman of the party’s forum of state chairmen and erstwhile Chairman of the Akwa-Ibom state chapter of the party, Obong Paul Ekpo.
The PDP said that party in a statement by National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, is proud of the commitment, loyalty and sacrifice with which Obong Ekpo directed the affairs of the forum during his statutory four years as well as in leading the activities of the party in Akwa-Ibom state in the last eight years.
“Obong Ekpo’s sense of hard work, honesty, justice, fairness and exceptional commitment in the delivery of every assignment given to him, as also attested to by leaders of our great party at all levels, stand him out as a patriot,” the PDP said.
It described Obong Ekpo as an exceptional partyman who has remained steadfast in his contributions towards the stability and development of the great party, adding particularly that his roles as as Chairman of Chairmen, especially during the trying times of the party spoke volume.
The PDP assured that Obong Ekpo’s contributions to the development of the party will not be in vain and urged him to remain steadfast in the ideals of the party and service at higher levels of leadership in our party and nation at large.
