…As Agency Divides Rivers Into Three Zones

The Rivers State Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Agency says it has divided Rivers State into three zones for easy rehabilitation of potholes in the state.

Chairman of the agency, Prince Timothy Nsirim, said this in an interview with newsmen during the marking of potholes on roads in Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas.

Nsirim said the agency is working hard to ensure that all potholes within Rivers roads across the state are rehabilitated within the next three to four months.

Stressing the need for public support to enable the agency achieve its set target, Nsirim urged the people to be patient with the present administration in the state, noting that Governor Nyesom Wike meant well for the development of the state.

He said the inspection and marking exercise was to identify areas that need urgent attention, adding that comprehensive report on the situation would be forwarded to the State Governor.

Areas inspected and marked include old GRA, Nzimiro to the Aba Road bridge, Waja to Rumuomasi, Stadium road, Eliozu road and Nkpogu Junction.

Others include Mile 1 bridge, Ikwerre Road, Agip bridge to Rumueme, Ada George to Rumuepirikom, Location Junction, Tam David West Road, Obiri Ikwerre road and Ozuoba road.
