He said that every stakeholder in the council area regardless of party affiliation is in support of Hon. Vincent’s choice due to his brand of politics.
Besides, Dr. Ohia said, “since it is agreed that constituency I which Omoku falls in should be allowed to produce the successor to Hon. Ifeanyi Odili; it is proper Hon. Vincent should be encourage to go this time around as a tested and trusted ally to represent his people”.
He also said that since inception of the second republic till date, nobody has bordered to negotiate about coming back for a second tenure in office.
The Eze Okara I of Ogbaland explained that they have often rotate the council chairmanship position and indeed all political positions between constituency one and two on one single tenureship.
He further disclosed that Onelga has six geopolitical zones and all have tested the chairmanship position with the exception of Omoku where Vincent hails from.
“It is therefore in the interest of fair play that the rotational arrangement be respected,” he declared.
The stakeholders agreed that Hon. Vincent whom many described as a detribalized politician with his wealth of experience would make a better replacement to the incumbent council chairman.
