Emohua Local Government Chairman, Dr Chidi Lloyd, says he is proud of the achievements of Governor Nyesom-Wike in Rivers State in the past six years.
Dr Lloyd said the governor has performed beyond the expectation of many and won the love of Rivers people with his visionary leadership.
Speaking with journalists at the Presentation Of Account Of Stewardship by Rivers State Governor, H.E Nyesom Ezenwo Wike; the event wrapping up the activities lined up to mark the 6 years / 2nd year in the 2nd term anniversary of the Rivers State Government held at Dr Obi Wali International Conference Centre in Port Harcourt on Monday, the council chairman said joining the governor’s team wasn’t a difficult decision for him because of the visible achievements of the governor.
The former leader of Rivers State House of Assembly said Governor Wike’s leadership is exemplary. He said the governor’s footprints are very visible across the Local Government Areas in the state, as against the insinuation that the governor’s projects are only sited in Obio-Akpor and PortHarcourt city Local Government Areas.
The Emolga council Boss said he is proud of the governor’s achievements because he would have also done the same thing the governor is doing if he was the governor.
He thanked the governor for the numerous completed and ongoing projects sited in Emohua local government area, reassuring that the people of the area will always stand with the governor.
The well attended Account of Stewardship had former governor of Rivers State, Dr Peter Odili as the father of the day, Former NBA President, Chief O.C.J Okocha as Chairman of the occasion. Former Governor Celestine Omehia, Former Deputy Governors of Rivers State, Dr Gabriel Toby and Engr. Tele Ikuru also graced the historic event.
Other dignitaries at the event includes: the Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Ikunyi Uwaji Igbani and members of the Assembly, The secretary to the state government, Dr Tammy Danagogo and members of the State Executive Council, The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Hon Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi and principal officers of the state judiciary, Serving and formers members of the National Assembly, Political leaders, Religious leaders, traditional rulers, Elder Statement, captains of industries and friends and supporters of the New Rivers Vision from within and outside Rivers State.
