Take Advantage Of INEC Registration Exercise, Group Urges Khana Indigenes

A socio-political group known as National Mandate Group is appealing to indigenes of Khana Local Government Area who have attained voting age to get registered on the ongoing INEC continuous Voters Registration (C.V.R).

The Chairman, Central Coordinating Committee of the group in Khana Local Government Area, Dr. Nwibubasa Leloonu said the group has put adequate logistics in place to convey those eligible to take part in the exercise.

Dr. Nwibubasa said the National Mandate Group desires to expand the voting strength of the people of Khana in the forthcoming 2023 election.

“We came to the discovering facts that the population of Khana as it is today is not reflective on what they have in the INEC register and therefore we have come to resolve that as a group they will support all efforts by the chairman of Khana Local Government, Hon Thomas Bariere and the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, to ensure that everyone that is at the age of voting will come out and exercise their rights of registering to vote in the future elections” he said.

Dr. Nwibubasa assured that they will work hard to stop all issues of insecurity that may be an obstacle for people to travel to their various communities. He also added that the National Mandate Group is ready to work with critical stakeholders in handling gang violence and killings in Khana Local Government Area.
