Down Town Lounge Joins League Of Hospitality Providers
…As Uchendu Lauds CEO
A brand new entertainment center known as Down Town Lounge has been unveiled in Port Harcourt, the Garden City of Nigeria. Down Town Lounge which is situated along the serene Rumunduru-Eneka Road in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area was commissioned at the weekend, amidst pomp and fanfare.
Speaking during the commissioning, the current Chairman of the Governing Council of University of Port Harcourt, Senator Andrew Uchendu commended the CEO of the hospitality outfit, HRH, Eze Ejike Wali for his initiative and entrepreneurial spirit.
He opined that the Lounge would not only boost the socio-economic activities of the state but would also create jobs for the teeming unemployed youths in the state.
Uchendu described Wali as a good entrepreneur and manager of people, adding that the CEO knows how to manage men and material well.
His words, “Eze Wali is one of the traditional rulers that has worked so passionately and diligently for the public interest. For the past decades, I have been having a wonderful relationship with him and look forward to maintaining and sustaining this relationship”, Senator Uchendu declared.
He expressed delight with the entertainment project, stressing on the need for other Ikwerre sons and daughters to emulate Eze Wali.
“I am satisfied with this kind of project. I want to see more of it in Ikwerre land”, he said while promising to do his best to contribute towards the marketing of the place.
In his speech, the paramount ruler of Okporo Oha Okwuru, Eze Morgan Amadi said that Eze Wali deserves credit for what he has set up.
“From what I have seen at this Down Town Lounge entertainment center, no doubt, it is a world class. I therefore commend and congratulate Eze Wali for what he has done and achieved”, he said.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the CEO of the entertainment outfit, HRH, Eze Ejike Wali pointed out that the idea to set up the lounge originated from his first and second sons, saying that he is happy that the lounge is now opened for all to enjoy.
Eze Wali who is the paramount ruler of Mgbuesilaru Community, stated that since the lounge is located in a serene environment, the managements of the lounge would continue to provide adequate security.
He further assured that the management and staff of the entertainment center would render superior and quality services to all classes and categories of people.
Some dignitaries who attended the ceremony include Chief Nduka Okocha, Chief (Sir) Nelson Johnson, Ezihuru Sydney Nyeche, Alex Wele amongst others.
