A trustee member of the Port Harcourt Club (1928), Chief Christopher Okonkwo has been honoured with a Presidential Leadership Award.
Speaking with sports journalists shortly after receiving the award, Chief Okonkwo said he was happy to receive the award from the current Exco of Port Harcourt Club (1928).
Describing the award as well deserved, he said it would spur and inspire him to do more.
His words: “As a philanthropist, I want to tell you that this award is well deserved. It will spur me to contribute and invest more to the sports sector and humanity. I want to dedicate the award to the Almighty God who made this possible”.
The Managing Director and CEO of Oganco Plaza stated that since sports is a unifying factor, good spirited individuals should invest in the sector.
He also commended the organizers of the award for their initiative and described the development as a job well done.
