INEC Draws Out New Timetable For Voter’s Registration In Khana

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Bori over the weekend had a brief meeting with the leadership of Khana LGA and community leaders.

While addressing the INEC officials and other attendees, the Executive Chairman of Khana LGA, Dr Thomas Bariere, admonished the community leaders to ensure much efforts are put into the second phase of voter’s registration and that enough sensitisation should be carried out in their various communities. He also appealled to the INEC officials to work in synergy with leaders of the various communities so that their work will be stress-free, successful and smooth.

The Council Boss also promised the INEC officials that the Council will provide all necessary support needed from them, most especially in the area of security.

In response to the appeal of the executive Chairman, the E.O INEC in Khana LGA Mr. Beejay Agidiomo Moses, promised that his team will work with the leadership of Khana LGA and the various communities to carry out the exercise in peace and any necessary adjustments that need to be done on the timetable will be done as well.

The meeting was attended by top political appointees of Khana LGA Council, Ward Councillors, CDC Chairmen and Youth Leaders
