Progressives Committee Elects New Exco
…President Promises Transformation
A new Executive of the Progressives Committee of Friends (PCF), Rivers State has emerged after the election held on the 6th of February, 2022 at Igwuruta.
The following persons were declared elected by Chief Samuel Nwanyen-led Eleco. They include: Mr. Oluocha Sylvanus Nyema – President, Hon, Rogers Ugem – Vice President, Hon, Ibe Onyegbule – Secretary General, Hon. Prince Anyanwu – Financial Secretary, Hon. Lucky Ndimele – PRO, Others were Chief Paul Enyidah – Treasurer, Elder Frank Echendu – Director of Social and Mr. Ibe Nwanleze – Provost. They were sworn in immediately.
Addressing members after the election, Mr. Oluocha Sylvanus thanked them for electing him as the president of the organization. He promised to re-unite the organization to meet the objective of the founding fathers, to bring back aggrieved members, and to uphold the integrity of the organization.
He stated that his immediate past president, Mr. Christian Nwagor worked tirelessly to position the organization the way it is, adding that he will make sure that the organization attains a higher level. Mr. Oluocha appealed to members to support him, pointing out that it is no longer going to be business as usual.
Similarly, Mr. Christian Nwagor who was the immediate past president and reigned for two tenures of three years each thanked the members for their cooperation during his time in office. He called on them not to relent to enable the organization achieve her objectives.
According to him, the new Exco should accept their mistakes where necessary as such idea will help them achieve their goals. He disclosed that he was not surprised that Mr. Oluocha will do well.
In the same vain, Chief Justice Ere appealed to the Exco to reconcile aggrieved members.
Also, Madam Patience Mgbakiri thanked the former president, Mr. Nwagor and his Exco for taking the bull by the horn.
She appealed to the new Exco to borrow a leaf by moving the organization to a greater height.
