Amb. West Declares To Contest State Assembly Election For ASALGA Constituency II
Amb. Okorinama West has formally declared his intention to contest for constituency II at the Rivers State Assembly in the forthcoming general elections on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said his declaration was in response to what he called a clarion call from different quarters in Asari-Toru Local Government Area of the State, urging him to make himself available to represent them.
According to him, his answer to the call by his people was propelled by his burning desire to serve his people more than what he has been doing, noting that the people need good representation.
He said he prefers to serve as the people’s servant instead of a leader, so as to provide the much needed change in Constituency II “I am comfortable in life but the quest to serve my people made me to accept the calls. The people of Constituency II will witness tremendous change in all ramifications if given the mandate,” he assured.
Hon. Joeba West said she is happy for what God has made of Shaggy and prayed that he will continue to render such great services to his people in higher capacity and promised to support his ambition in any little way she could. “I will support his ambition because I know he will be a good representative but it is all about the people of constituency II to take the decision but I pray they make the right choice,” she declared.
Kenyabari Appolloss said they are very excited that Shaggy has finally answered the call to serve his people, saying Shaggy as a youth has a great quest for rapid development and youth empowerment, positing that as a grassroots politician he understands their plight because he knows where it pinches the people.
He said the Shaggy he knows would open a new vista of developments in the Constituency urged the people of the area not to let him down.
The Chairman of Great Achievers of Abonnema Wharf, Mr Alaene Tamuno-omona-a Horsfall said Shaggy has proved his effectiveness in supporting his people with his hard earned money through his humanitarian services.
He promised that their group would do everything within their reach to ensure he secures Constituency II seat at the State Assembly because he is a better choice than any other person when it comes to the interest of the people.
Mr. Horsfall described Shaggy as a vibrant youth that understands their plight, who has all the necessary qualities and capabilities to make Constituency II reign its lost glory.
