Group Insists Obuah Is Most Qualified To Lead Rivers State After Wike
As the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) draw close, a leading support group of one of the aspirants in Rivers State, Bro. Felix Obuah Movement, has advised the party to pick Bro. Felix Obuah as its flagbearer. The group said it is only the former chairman of the party that is better prepared to run the affairs of the state after the expiration of the tenure of Barr. Nyesom Wike.
A member of the group in Abuja, Comrade Nwokoma Messiah, made this known while interacting with journalists in Abuja the federal capital. He said the 2023 general elections will be highly competitive and the best candidate for the job who has the acceptance of the people should be given the right of first refusal. He said if the party should tow the path of choosing a consensus candidate, Bro. Felix Obuah should be considered way ahead of others due to his high level of popularity and appeal to the people.
“We respect all the aspirants that have expressed their desire to run but for the sake of winning the elections hands down, Go Round the Mbanabara agu1 of Orashi land should be the one to flag the party’s flag”
Comrade Nwokoma commended Bro. Felix Obuah for helping change the fortunes of the party in the state which is evident in the stability which the party had and is still enjoying till today. ” It is evident how Bro. Felix Obuah aka Go Round helped stabilise the party leading to a gale of defections from other parties. He has over the years shown a strong sign of a great and astute leader who is in touch with the people and as governor of the state, the people of Rivers State will experience visionary leadership and continuity of the good works of Governor Nyesom Wike who assuredly, will also get the ticket of the party for the presidential elections.
Comrade Nwokoma Messiah while congratulating Bro. Obuah on his successful screening, revealed that the group in Abuja will be having a special prayer meeting for the success of both Bro. Felix Obuah and Governor Nyesom Wike as they prepare for the primaries of the party this month. “it is imperative that we commit their aspirations into the hands of God. We commend our brothers in Port Harcourt who carried out a massive prayer walk for their success. We are going to replicate their efforts here in the federal capital and hopefully they will both come out successful” he said.
The BFO Movement also urged the people of the state especially those in the diaspora to ensure they register and get their PVCs stressing that the days of sitting on the fence is over.
