He said that people of the state should expect good governance and continuity adding: “My name is Go Round and my interest is to make sure that this wealth of this state goes round to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor. At least people will be happy”.

The foremost governorship aspirant described the screening as very successful and straightforward saying that all the checklists were looked at.

He said he expects nothing but success all the way saying “this is just the beginning of the success story”.

On the forthcoming primary, he said the best aspirant would have the day.

Bro. Obuah said: “We are going to showcase our prowess, what we are made up of and what we intend to do for our people. The delegates will have to select among the 16 of us who they feel is capable but I feel that I have integrity. I have the capacity to lead the state”.

The Chairman of the Screening Committee and Bayelsa State governor, Senator Douye Diri, while speaking with reporters said that a total of 56 governorship aspirants from the South-South geopolitical zone were screened for next year’s general elections with one of them not turning up.

Giving the breakdown, the Chairman of the committee said there were 17 governorship aspirants from Rivers, 15 from Delta, 11 from Cross River and 14 from Akwa Ibom State.

He said that the Peoples Democratic Party would put forward its best as governorship candidate in each of the four states for next year’s general elections with Bayelsa and Edo States off the list as they are off-season meaning they won’t be part of the election.
