I’ll Grow Economy, Build Strong Institutions If Elected   Governor – Dumo

A governorship aspirant of the Accord Party (AP) in Rivers State, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, has disclosed that he would grow the economy, ensure quality education for all citizens, build strong institutions and form an all-inclusive government, if elected governor of Rivers State in 2023 election.

Chief Lulu Briggs stated this on Sunday at an event organized by “We Agenda”, a group promoting Lulu-Briggs’ governorship ambition in Rivers State.

According to him, “We Agenda” simply means that everybody matters. “We Agenda means putting people first and it is the responsibility of the Government to put people first, the Kalabari High Chief emphasized.

The philanthropist who commended successive administrations from 1999 till date, informed stakeholders at the event that he would assemble the best hands to grow the economy of the state from its present place to the desired height.

He said, “We have to grow the economy, so that it can accommodate all of us. The reason you should vote for me is not because I am a philanthropist, ask yourself if I have the capacity to grow the economy and rebuild our public institutions to give equal opportunity to the children of both the poor and the rich in the society”.

“Rivers State has been a mono-economy and we have to change it. There is a lot to be done. We must know that it is a collective responsibility. So, we, in the We Agenda, are concerned about the people”, he said.

Lulu-Briggs noted that he would form an all-inclusive government that will accommodate everyone irrespective of the political party they belong to, adding, “When we form the government, we will create opportunities for the citizens.”

The Accord Party governorship aspirant tasked Rivers people to work to realize their dreams for the state, adding that it would require collective and concerted effort to actualize that dream.

He also said that if elected governor of the State in 2023, he would also place premium on quality education and develop the future of Rivers youths through Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

The Kalabari born politician urged all Rivers people to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs) to enable them to vote in 2023 election and decide the future they want and ensure they vote wisely on the day of the election.

Among those that graced the event were religious leaders, traditional rulers, students, youth groups, technocrats, etc.
