Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State and Senator Jeremiah T. Useni yesterday hugged each other and exchanged pleasantries at the governorship election tribunal sitting in Jos, the state capital.
The tribunal had earlier received a petition filed by Useni who was the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 general elections, against the Independent Electoral Commission, Lalong and the All Progressive Congress.
In the petition, Useni sought Lalong’s election’s nullification over alleged irregularities, asking the tribunal to declare him winner.
But at yesterday’s sitting, Useni and Lalong sat close to each, hugged and exchanged pleasantries.
