PDP Primaries: Khana Council Chairman, Dr Bariere Urges Orderliness From Party Delegates

As delegates to the forthcoming Primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) prepare to exercise their franchise to choose candidates ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Executive Chairman of  Khana Local Government Area, Dr. Thomas Bariere has stressed on the need for orderliness and play by the rules.

Dr. Bariere, in a statement harped on the need for party delegates to sustain the culture and tenets of internal democracy for which the PDP is acclaimed, adding that to do otherwise would be doing a disservice to the party.

The Khana Council boss who described the forthcoming Primaries as a tacit test for party members, enjoined the delegates to show the way and exhibit the spirit of oneness, as other political parties are watching, adding, “This is another test of our indivisibility that had never been in doubt”.

The new dates for the PDP Primaries as released by the National Secretariat shows that Sunday, May 22, 2022 would be the turn for State Houses of Assembly at 10.00 am.

The House of Representatives Primaries would also hold on same Sunday, May 22, 2022 but in the afternoon at 1.00 pm.

The Primaries for the Senate would take its turn on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 10.00 am.

The statement reminded party faithful across the country that dates for the Governorship and Presidential Primaries remain as scheduled.
