NPFL Cup Victory: Well Done Rivers United FC, Your Performed 100% – Barr. George Ariolu
The Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area (OBALGA), Barrister George Ariolu has commended the Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt, for emerging champions of the 2021/2022 Nigerian Professional Football League.
The OBALGA Council boss who went on his official Facebook handle to congratulate the Pride of Rivers shortly after their closest challenger, Plateau United lost 2-1 to Akwa United on Saturday, described the performance of the champions as ‘100%’.
His words, “This is a clear demonstration of your resilience, dedication and commitment towards rewarding our amiable Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his support and investment in the team.
“I wish the Team more victories ahead and urge them to sustain this momentum as we aim for the bigger stage”.
The OBALGA Council boss congratulated Coach Stanley Eguma, whom he described as a very good gaffer, stating that his immense contributions led to the superlative performances that earned them the trophy.
“I am particularly grateful to those Rivers United supporters that have consistently added color to spice up every game on each match day. They have evidently inspired the team to victory.
