The Association of Northern Progressives, Rivers State PDP Chapter says the March 9 Governorship election victory of Governor Nyesom Wike was the result of hard work and commitment to the development of the State.
More exciting about Governor Wike’s victory according to Alh. Ibrahim Maisundu Beli, the leader of the Association of Northern Progressives was the gallant fight he put up against anti-democratic forces which has further strengthened Nigeria’s Democracy.
Alh. Maisundu who stated this through a congratulatory message to Governor Wike however appealed to the victorious Wike to be magnanimous in victory by extending a hand of fellowship to the opposition in order to move the State forward.
He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its steadfastness not only to see that the right thing was done but to have seen it done within the timeframe in Rivers State.
The ANP leader argued that even if the governorship election was conducted a hundred times in the State, Governor Wike would beat any opponent, stressing that the Rivers people have come to trust him because of his landmark achievements across the State.
Alh. Ibrahim Maisundu therefore enjoined all his kith and kin resident in Rivers State to co-operate with the Wike administration and continuously pray for peace and sustainable development of Rivers State, believing that as usual, Governor Wike’s second term in office will provide succor, security and quality leadership to all and sundry in the State and Nigeria in general.
