Support Group Celebrates Atiku’s Victory

One of the support groups of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in Rivers State under the aegis of Atiku Care Foundation (ACF) has celebrated the electoral victory of their principal over the weekend in Port Harcourt.

In a thanksgiving church service organized by the group to return gratitude to God for answering their prayers, the group recalled what they passed through during their campaigns and other activities building up to the delegates primary election at Abuja, the federal capital.

In his exaltation at the event, Pastor (Dr) Ray S. Alabo, the Rivers West Coordinator said Nigeria had turned to a strange land to her inhabitants where according to him ‘a lot of unusual things were happening but that God has eventually heard the prayers of the citizens and brought them deliverance in the person of Atiku Abubakar whom he described as a visionary leader to the rescue at this point in time.

Taking his text from Psalm 137, the man of God said ACF was like one of the biblical ten (10) lepers who came back to return thanks to Christ for healing him, adding that Jesus made the man completely whole, that likewise the support group is expectant that God will perfect the total electoral victory of Atiku Abubakar at the polls next year to the benefit of all and the glory of God.

In his opening speech, the state coordinator of the group, Comrade Terry Kingsley Okere commended the members, saying that he was overwhelmed at the success recorded so far and urged members to sit up and be serious with whatever assignment they are given as according to him, “There is a silver lining at the horizon, assuring everyone of them that they are on the right track. He reminded the congregation once more that Atiku Abubakar, their principal is known as a “unifier” and that with Atiku on the drivers seat of the country, things will definitely turn around again for the better.

He pointed out that Atiku has demonstrated uncommon knack for improving the welfare of Nigeria citizens at every point in time.

The Regional Director of the group, Hon. Meshack Onyeche in his remarks recalled the many hurdles and humiliation the group members went through for identifying with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and urged them to be steadfast in their faith and belief in the course.

He also used the opportunity to assure the members that when Atiku eventually win the election and ascend the seat of power, they will all relocate to Abuja to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

Other stakeholders in the ACF group were given opportunity to make their solidarity speeches which added hope to the members.

They equally used the opportunity to appeal to everyone present to get registered and acquire their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) which they noted, will enable them to enthrone good leadership in Nigeria come 2023, adding that with Atiku Abubakar on the throne the much talked about ‘Restructuring’ of the country will easily be achieved with its attendant benefits.

Highlights of the event were testimonies shared especially on political activities over the years of following their principal; praise and worship session, prayer session as well as congratulatory message to His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (GCON) over his victory at the delegates election which was read out on behalf of the group by the South/South Regional Director/Leader, Hon. Meshack Onyeche.
