Team Felix Obuah Support Group Passes Confidence Vote On Gov Wike

Team Felix Obuah, the Support Group of the immediate past state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bro Felix Amaechi Obuah has passed a confidence vote on the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and congratulated him not only over his performance at the delegates presidential primary election at Abuja recently but his disposition towards the unfolding development in the party thereafter describing him as the horoe of the South/South region and a true democrat.

In a press release signed by the group’s Director of publicity, Chief (Dr) Goodluck Nwobike which was made available to the press, the State Working Committee (SWC) of the group commended the state governor over what it called his excellent performance at the primaries recently.

“We also commend members of the PDP from the National Assembly who came calling on a solidarity visit to our leader and governor, Nyesom Wike recently.

This was part of the communiqué from an expanded State Working Committee (SWC) of the group held recently in Port Harcourt.

The group said the governor has indeed made them proud by the outing.

“We the Team Felix Obuah support group are proud of you, you have actually made the South/South region proud” the statement said.

The group also expressed happiness for the governor accepting the outcome of the presidential primaries with equanimity.

The TFO used the opportunity to urge every politician to emulate the political life style of their principal, Bro Felix Obuah which they noted, is anchored on loyalty to the party, respect to one another and integrity to self.

They also used the chance to congratulate the Rivers State PDP leadership and stakeholders for choosing a tested and trusted technocrat, Prof. Ngozi Odu as the deputy governorship candidate to Warisenibo Sim Fubara, the Rivers PDP governorship candidate, saying both of them are sellable candidates to win the forthcoming election for the party in order to sustain the achievements made in the state.

“We are however drawing the attention of the upper echelons of the party leadership to this unhealthy development unfolding in our great party”.

The group condemned the unguided statement accredited to the former governor of Niger State, His Excelleny Babangida Aliyu, a respected leader of the PDP, which the group noted, is capable of derailing the party and damaging the goodwill the party has earned over the years through the excellent performance of most members including Gov Wike.

Team Felix Obuah said it has observed with dismay the unhealthy development in the party especially, since after the presidential primaries of the PDP, saying they are not comfortable with the situation, especially as they are approaching a general election which needs every hands on deck to achieve total victory at the polls.

The group however aligned itself with the standpoint and press release from the Southern Nigeria Peoples Assembly (SNPA) which condemned the development in its entirety.

“It is of great importance and for good understanding that we make it known to the party members as a whole that the South/South members of the party hold Governor Wike, the former presidential aspirant of our party in high esteem as our leader in Rivers State,” it said.

The group advised the party leadership to stand firm and be focused given the task ahead of rescuing and rebuilding Nigeria.

Team Felix Obuah used the opportunity to congratulate the 23 Local Government Council Chairmen as they celebrate their one year achievements in office in their respective council areas.

TFO also used the chance to appeal to its members to utilize the opportunity of the extension of the registration exercise by INEC to ensure that their members register and acquire their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) which is needed to enthrone a better leadership for the country.

The group equally commended well-meaning individuals and organizations that had come out strong to condemn what it called the toxic development finding its way into the PDP as a political party since after the presidential primaries as according to them “a stitch in time saves nine”.
