APC’s Boat Sinks Deeper In Rivers  As Amaechi’s Buddies Join PDP

…Amid Reactions In Social Media

The streak of defections rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State not over as another gloomy news of members exit hit the public space.

With the APC in Rivers State still brooding the loss of high profile members like Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, Dawari George and lately, the Spokesperson of the party in the state, Chris Finebone, all of whom are close allies of former Transportation Minister, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the numbers continue to drift as the weeks pass on.

The latest in the pack were Princewill Dike, a former Special Assistant on Student Affairs to ex-Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi who pledged his loyalty to Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

Dike made his defection known during a visit to the Governor Wike’s residence in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.  Also present at the meeting was the Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Sir Siminialayi Fubara.

Meanwhile, Governor Nyesom Wike had earlier received another Amaechi’s hatchetman and former Transport Commissioner under his regime, Hon. George Tolofari back to the PDP.  Like Princewill Dike, Hon. Tolofari was accompanied to the residence of Governor Wike by Amaopuwarisenibo Siminialayi Fubara as well as Chief Sam-Sam Jaja.

As expected this latest development has set the social media on fire as users quickly poured their reactions.  In her facebook page where #JoyfulNation broke the news of the defections, over 300 readers liked and shared their comments.

Some of the comments read: “Stomach infrastructure at work.  Hunger na your mate.  Amaechi has been retired from politics, he is no longer a minister, so it’s expected”.

“Another defection from APC to PDP in Rivers State.  Abeg, how many people remain for that APC again o. Wike na big name”, was the reaction from another user.

More comments read: “People are not loyal to you, they are loyal to your money. The umbrella is still big enough to accommodate everyone.  Welcome Home sir”.

Yet another user wrote, “Sam Sam Jaja didn’t feel fine that oga Chris Fynebone trended on social media for meeting with Gov Wike while he quietly rejoined the party before him. Politicians and stomach infrastructure is like flies and tombo”.
