FCE(T) Omoku Mourns Death Of  Chief Sambo Adiela

The Federal College of Education (Technical) Omoku, Rivers State has joined other institutions, organizations and individuals to mourn the death of a well-known politician in Rivers State, Chief Sir Elemchukwu Sambo Adiela, JP, (The Ekabokrobia of Ogbaland), Who died on Thursday 28/05/2020 at the age of 80.

Speaking when a delegation of principal officers of the college paid a condolence visit to Late Chief Sambo’s family at his Omoku residence on Monday 01/06/2020, the provost, Sir Dr Emmanuel Ikenyiri described the deceased as a philanthropist, astute politician, God fearing gentleman and a very good friend of the college who was always there for the institution when his attention was needed.

He noted that the progress, peace and unity of the college cannot be completed without the mention of Chief Sambo Adiela’s contributions lamenting that his death was a big loss not only to the college community but Omoku city and Rivers State in general.

The Provost thanked Almighty God for a fulfilled life the late former councilor in the second republic, community leader and former Director of Omoku Town Club (OTC) lived before his departure and prayed Almighty God to grant his soul eternal rest and as well give the bereaved family, his close associates, the entire people of ONELGA and Rivers State in general the fortitude to bear the great loss.

Receiving the FCE(T) Omoku delegation, the widow of the deceased, Hon (Lady) Fustinah Sambo Adiela who spoke through her son, Mr. Mela Sambo Adiela thanked the college delegation for the visit and assured that the college will be informed accordingly as soon the burial plans of the departed Elder Statesman commences.

According to a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the college, Prince Charles Amadike-Otoboh, JP, those who accompanied the provost to visit were the Deputy Provost, Dr MMM Ekpa, The Registrar, Dr L. E Onyije, The Bursar, Lady Emilia Inimgba, The college Liberian, Mrs Nkechi Egesimba, The Director of Works, Engr. Nathan Nwokocha, a member of the college Governing council, Sir Emeka Nwokocha among other senior members of the college.
