I’ll Make ONELGA Constituency 2, Envy Of All – Ekperi
The race for ONELGA Constituency 2 Assembly seat in next year general election is heating up by the day as candidates of the respective political parties woo prospective voters with persuasive campaign promises.
While the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area has promised to consolidate on the achievements of the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Nathaniel Uwaji, others are selling their manifestos with assurances of improving the well-being of the people, if given the mandate.
At a media briefing with journalists in Okwuzi, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area on Monday, the House of Assembly candidate of National Rescue Mission (NRM) for ONELGA Constituency 2, Mr. Nnamdi Bright Ekperi lamented that the constituency is backward in terms of representation and promised to reverse the trend if elected.
Stating that people of his constituency are now wiser, the NRM candidate explained that the forth coming election would be a make or mar exercise, as the people of ONELGA Constituency 2 have resolved to take back their constituency.
Ekperi regretted that the area has remained backward due to poor representation by those he saw as ‘opportunistic, selfish, docile and greedy politicians’.
The NRM Assembly hopeful said he would infuse transparency and godliness and into office, adding that those who occupied the seat have only succeeded in self aggrandizement.
“By the grace of God, I will give my all to initiate bills that will advance the course of ONELGA Constituency 2.
“I will sponsor bills that will be productive, promote job creation and skills acquisition for artisans and non artisans alike.
