APC Guber Candidate, Tonye Cole Promises End To Misery In Rivers If Elected
The gubernatorial hopeful in Rivers State, Pastor Tonye Cole has promised to wipe away the tears of the Rivers people if elected governor.
He made the promise on Friday, January 20, when his campaign train stormed Elele Alimini in Emohua local government area of Rivers State. He said his vision is to ensure that Rivers youths are employed, acquire various skills, given scholarship and to eradicate poverty and to declare industrial revolution in the State.
He said his government would be fair and give equal treatment to everyone in the State not minding where he or she comes from. “By God’s grace when voted into power, my government will be a government of me and you, a listening government that will deliver the dividends of democracy to you,” he assured.
Pastor Tonye Cole assured his government will construct roads and bridges that will link Emohua Kalabari communities for easy access that will boost economic growth. He said he will not in any way steal money meant for the masses rather he will use Rivers money for Rivers people.
The Director General of the campaign team in Emohua local government area, Chief Ndidi Erim described the mammoth crowd that turned out at the rally in Elele and other places as an indication that the people of the state want APC to take over power.
He urged the people of Emohua and Rivers State at large not to be intimidated by the antics of the PDP but to be steadfast and vote all APC candidates and Pastor Tonye Cole because of his antecedents.
Barr. Sogbeye Eli , the spokesman for the Rivers APC Campaign Council said no amount of claims by the opposition party would make them win election again in the State.
According to him, the opposition party has resorted to lies and propaganda because of the fading chances of the party and urged the people not to be swayed by the cheap blackmail but to make good use of the 2023 elections to vote in Pastor Tonye Cole whom he said will make Rivers State an industrial hub.
The Emohua APC Party Chairman, Austin Asomeji predicted overwhelming victory for his party, adding that the beauty of the 2023 elections is ‘one man, one vote’ and not the usual ‘carry go’ which will give the Rivers electorate the freedom to choose who will govern them for the next 4 years .
He said Pastor Tonye Cole is the preferred governorship candidate among all the contestants vying for the Rivers Brick House because of his wealth of experience.
