Emir Of Kano Eulogizes Peter Obi

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ada Bayero has spoken glowingly about Peter Obi the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), saying he admired his eloquence, calmness and humility.

The monarch stated this when Peter Obi paid him a courtesy visit in his palace last week.

Hear Alhaji Ado Bayero: “I admire your eloquence calmness, humility, respect for culture and fear of God.”

In a report monitored in a social media platform, the spokesman of the Third force one of the groups rooting for Obi’s presidency, said the Labour Party presidential candidate visited the revered monarch as he arrived Kano to sympathize with the Kano flood victims as well as Beirut Road collapsed building.

Peter Obi he further said used the occasion of the visit to brief the Emir of his desire to serve Nigeria as the next president come 2023.

The former Anambra State Governor, who said he had been exposed to various areas of governance for years, noted that he was experienced enough to lead Nigeria.

Hear Obi: “Though I am in the state for sympathy visit, I deem it appropriate to make the palace my first port of call to pay you royal homage and to formally inform you of my intention to run for president in the forthcoming election”.

Peter Obi further explained that he was also in the Palace to sympathize with him as a royal father for the twin tragedy that befell the state penultimate weeks.

Responding, the Emir noted that the country was blessed with abundant resources but wondered why there were much suffering, poverty and crimes, stressing that Obi was eminently qualified for the position. He said LP presidential candidate did very well when he was governor of Anambra State and wished him well in the pursuit of his ambition.

Among those in his entourage were Engr. Bashir Ishaq Bashier gubernatorial candidate for Labour Party in the state, Obi’s running mate Dr. Datti Yusuf Baba Ahmed, Dr. Yunusa Tanko and state chairman of Labour Party, Mall Raji.
