Sim Fubara Shines At CAN/PFN Parley
The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has made an impressive performance at a parley organized by the Rivers State branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) with governorship candidates in the state.
The parley which was held in Port-Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, in conjunction with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), had in attendance all the major candidates of political parties in the state, except that of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Arc. Tonye Cole who could not disclose reasons for his absence.
Information available to this medium said PDP’s Sim Fubara shone like a star while Social Democratic Party (SDP)’s Senator Magnus Abe was very evasive to make commitments on his campaign promises, especially by responding only indirectly to questions he was asked.
But Sir Fubara was all out, reeling out his promises with confidence as one who knows what he was talking about, even without saying much, as he is known not to be a talker.
At the end of the event, it was clear to participants that the March 18 Governorship election in Rivers State is between Sim Fubara of the PDP and Magnus Abe of the SDP as what the candidate of the Accord, Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs did at the parley was to show to the world that he is a Christian by singing gospel songs, instead of telling or talking to Rivers people what he would do for them should he win the election.
