The member representing Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Robinson Dekor, has felicitated with Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and his wife, Justice Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, for being honoured with the chieftaincy titles of ‘The Eagle of Tiv Nation’ and ‘The Nest of the Eagle of Tiv Nation’ respectively.

The federal lawmaker and former commissioner for works, while reacting to the historic chieftaincy conferment on the First Family of Rivers State, described the bestowment as well-deserved and a confirmation of Governor Wike’s reputation as an apostle of national unity.

“I wish to add that as the Eagle and Nest of the Eagle of Tiv Nation, I have no doubt that Governor Wike and his wife, Suzzette, represent same for all the ethnic nationalities in Rivers State. I believe it is only a matter of time and these would be openly declared”, he stated.

Noting that a gold fish does not have a hiding place, Rt. Hon Dekor said the Governor and his wife merited the titles because he has taken governance to another level by ensuring that visible development gets to every nook and cranny of the State.

The federal lawmaker who was a one-time Deputy Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly, added that as the affirmed apostle of national unity, ‘Mr. Quality Projects’ has demonstrated this in many ways including breaking barriers to provide support to security agencies, give monetary interventions to federal institutions and even has to fund the repair of federal roads that are in deplorable conditions.

“Our Governor, supported by his beloved wife, has been promoting peace, love and a united progressive Nigeria.  He has promoted national unity in many ways and the enviable nationalistic quality has endeared him into the hearts of Nigerians, including the Tiv Nation”, Rt. Hon. Dekor said.

He enjoined Rivers people to also see the conferment of the Tiv chieftaincy titles on Governor Wike and his wife, Suzzette, as a call for more support and encouragement to his administration, adding that the honour is for all Rivers people.
