Elele Alimini Chiefs Induct New Members
The Elele Alimini Council of Chiefs in Emohua local government area of Rivers State has inducted eleven new members into their inner circle.
Speaking at the ceremony held at the Elele Alimini Community, the Chairman of the Council of Chiefs, Chief Stephen IKECHI Orji said that the council thought it wise to admit more members into the council in line with their constitution hence they wrote to the affected village on the need to fill in the already existing vacancies.
He charged the newly inducted Chiefs to remain law abiding and be mindful of the way and manner they conduct themselves in the public, adding that their mode of dressing, manner of approach and conduct in the secret and public places will be use to judge not only on them but to the entre council members, positing that Elele Alimini has remain a peaceful community over the years and the council will not condule any sharp practices among the new members.
Chief Orji maintained that the newly inducted members should avoid collecting bribe as ramsome for thier judgement and warned that who ever that was found wanting will be dethroned and will treated in accordance with custom and tradition of the people.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Elele Alimini Council of Chiefs 2023 screaning and selection committee, Chief Donatus Oloko described the event as a huge success, adding that the committee were mindful during selection process wherein credible persons from the affected villages were considered base on their records.
Chief Oloko further warned the new Chiefs to show attitude capable of truncating the peace of the community as the council will not hesitate to withdrew the certificate of any of the newly inducted chiefs who derailed from the purpose for which they were inducted.
In their separate speeches, Chief Desmond Wosu, Chief Chibuike Gaius Dike, Chief Christopher Enyindah among others congratulated the newly installed members of Elele Alimini council Chiefs and urged them to see their emergence as a rear previlage in the midst of others who were in the same race with them, saying that the greater interest of the Community should overide their personal priority.
They maintained that Elele Alimini has been in peace courtesy of the older Chiefs and various organs of the community, hence the need for them to bring in their experiences for the expected development of the community.
Responding on behalf of the newly inducted members of Elele Alimini Council of Chiefs, Chief Anthony Dike thanked the Elele Alimini Council Chief for finding them worthy to represent their various villages in the larger Community.
He expressed the hope that they will join hands with the older Chiefs to drive development into the community and deliver on the purpose for which they were inducted just as he said that they will seek advice from the older Chiefs where necessary.
A total of Eleven Chiefs were inducted into the inner circle of Elele Alimini Supreme Council of Chiefs, High point of the event were the issuance of certificate of appointment and decoration of the new Chiefs include, Chief Anthony Dike, Chief Iheanyi Woke, Chief John Wonodi, Chief Barr. Williams Amadioha, Chief Christopher Amadioha, Chief Emma Wodah, Chief ThankGod Timothy, Chief Ugochukwu Eleonu, Chief Anthony Chimara, Chief Anthony Wosa and Chief Seracus Okpaka.
