Okocha Hails Wike’s Inclusion In Ministerial List

Former Chief of Staff under Rotimi Amaechi administration, Hon. Tony Okocha has lauded President Tinubu for nominating Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for Ministerial appointment.

Okocha in an interview in Port Harcourt said the immediate past governor of Rivers State deserved the appointment because of his role in the victory of Tinubu in Rivers State.

The former Chairman, Local Organising Committee (LOC), Tinubu Presidential Campaign Rally in Rivers,  expressed confidence in Wike’s ability to carry out the role to be assigned to him creditably.

According to him, Wike is noted for lofty achievements, stressing that where people thought he would failed,  Wike had succeeded. He further stressed his capacity to turn stone into water, adding that he did excellently well in the state.

His words: “And having done so well in the administration and leadership of the people, he is not a green horn. He has gotten the experiences and those experiences  are what we are expecting from him to export to the center.”

Okocha urged President Tinubu to make sure that he assigned Wike to one of the priority areas, stressing that he would be happy he did.

The APC chieftain who also played very big roles in the emergence of Tinubu, took a swipe at those who earlier carried fake news purporting to knock Wike and Tinubu’s heads together over the Ministerial list and dismissed them as nonsensical media stunt naysayers.

In the same vein, a prominent Apara Chief, Bishop T. O. Wokpo has described former Governor Wike, an illustrious son of Apara Kingdom as a workaholic who has the capacity to replicate what he did in Rivers state at the center.

Chief Wokpo who commended President Tinubu for nominating him for Ministerial appointment, said Wike would be so effective at his assigned ministry that the President wouldn’t want to leave him.

He urged the former Governor to bring more glory to Rivers State while working at the center.
