The Executive Council (Exco) of Sancta Maria High School, Omoku (SAMAHISCO) Old Students Association has been charged to be good ambassadors of the college.
Dr Sam Izidor, Proprietor of Izibridge Crown Schools, Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt, stated this when the Exco of the institution’s Old Students Association led by its President, Dr Ahiauzu Levi paid him a courtesy visit in his office penultimate Friday.
He noted that the School has come of age, having produced leaders of thought and aoyens of various professions, the cream of the society, such as His Eminence, Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland, Late Chukumela Nnam Obi II; Prof Sunny Okoroma, Sir Ifi Francis. Hon Justice S.O Benson (rtd); Engr Beniah E. Ojum; Rev (Arc) Julius Uche-Owaji; Engr George C. Okoroma; Hon. Justice Ihenacho Obuzor; Dr Shedrack Akoloku; Prince Vincent Ochonma; Dr. Okechukwu Elekwachi, amongst others.
The Proprietor expressed fulfillment in meeting Old Students of his cherished Alma-mater that made him. Hence ^he encouraged the President, Dr Ahiauzu to sustain his vision, consultations and premium leadership traits toward achieving greatness for the association/alma-mater.
He further enjoined the Exco to organize an impactful home-coming event in the school premises, and re-invent participatory deliberation on the School platform (Whatsapp), being the beauty or hallmark of re-union, unity and progress of the great body.
Speaking earlier, the President of SAMAHISCO, Dr Ahiauzu Levi, remarked that the prime aim of the visit was to identify with one of their own, Dr Izidor, a distinguished old boy, eminent scholar of the Engineering profession, illustrious Son of Ogbaland- Orashi region and Nigerian patriot, who has carved a niche for himself, having served in vital sectors of our economy for decades, and now settled to mould and build a total child, a new generation (Nigeria), through a citadel of knowledge popularly known as “IZIBRIDGE CROWN SCHOOLS” Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt.
It would be recalled that SAMAHISCO was famous for its sense of discipline, sports and academic prowess under the close watch of its educational icon, Principal and statesman, late Elder I. O. Izeogu (1938-2021), Dr Izidor averred.
