Gov Fubara Gains More Grounds Across Obio/Akpor LGA

The people of Eneka, Obio Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State have endorsed Rivers State Governor.  They made the declaration on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 during the 2025 Eneka Day celebration at State Primary School One Eneka.

The event themed: “Unifying Our Strength for Progress”  attracted community leaders, traditional rulers and residents from all the eleven communities in the Clan.

Speaking on behalf the Clan, Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC) Mr Lawson Chuku, reaffirmed the people loyalty to Fubara, commending his administration’s development efforts and appealing for attention to the communities internal.

 He also requested the upgrade of the Eneka trading stool from second class to FIRST class STATUS, emphasising its importance for cultural heritage and unity.

Senator John Azuta Mbata, a political leader of the Eneka Clan and President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, worldwide described Fubara as the only governor of the state and pledged the continued friendship, loyalty and support of the Clan.

Governor Fubara responding to the endorsement thanked the Eneka people for their show of unity and assured them that his administration would prioritize the restoration of internal roads damaged during the construction of Ring Road flyover project.

He also directed the Commissioner for Chieftaincy & Community Affairs to commence the process for upgrading the Eneka traditional stool. He noted that a peaceful and united community makes things easier for government to deliver meaningful development without internal conflicts. Gov Fubara used the opportunity to urge the Eneka residents to sustain their unity.
