Khana Council Boss Vows To Sustain Peace, Unity In Area

…As Yormii/Teebee Annual Festival Ends In Style

The Executive Chairman of Khana Local Government Council, Dr. Thomas Bariere has stated that his administration will not relent in its effort to sustain the existing peace and unity in the Council.

Speaking at the grand finale of the Yormii/Teebee Annual Festival in Uegwere Boue Community on Wednesday, Dr. Bariere said the Council has expended a lot of resources to ensure the reign of peace and tranquility which has enabled people of the area to sleep with their two eyes closed, as well as carry on with economic and social activities without hinderances.

The Khana Council boss who was visibly elated at the welcome accorded him, urged the people to also reciprocate his efforts by remaining peaceful and law abiding, adding that security of the nooks and crannies should be the business of all and sundry.

Some dignitaries present at the event include traditional rulers of Uegwere Boue community, Leader of Khana 9th Legislative Assembly, Hon Gobari Bright Deebom and the Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs to the Khana Council Chairman, Hon. Tony Robinson as well as Bariere’s Chief of Staff, Hon. Douglas Lekara Nwidoobee.

The community who spoke through the Leader of the Khana 9th Legislative Assembly, Hon. Gobari Bright Deebom commended the Khana Council Chairman, Dr. Thomas Bariere for restoring peace in the council, and uniting the people.

Urging the Chairman to keep up the tempo, he said the people were happy with his administration and prayed for more wisdom to steer the ship of the Council.
