The Rivers State House of Assembly Aspirant, for Gokana constituency, in 2019 General Elections, Hon. Pius Dukor, has assured that he will make laws that will alleviate the suffering of the poor masses if elected.
Hon. Dukor, who is an Aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), said most laws in the State do not actually address issues of poverty in the land rather some of the laws strangulate, oppress and impoverish the poor masses.
Hon. Dukor, who is also a practicing journalist, maintained that he has all it takes to be victorious during the party primary election and to represent the people of his constituency.
He applauded the decision of the party leaders to use direct primary against delegate election.
The one time Vice Chairman of Gokana local government council during the zero party ear, said, if elected, there will be youth empowerment in the State through responsible law making.
The social crusade and civil society Activist explained that in the past he did a research on imported ice-fish for a former governor of the State which prompted the buying of three fishing trawlers, noting that with his civil society and journalism background he will work with his fellow law makers to make good laws, especially Housing loan, car loan, and education loan where civil servants will benefit and pay installmentally without stress while they are still in service.
He appealed the youths to vote for him massively during the primary election so that he can represent them in the House of Assembly come 2019.###
